SHIPPING AND RETURNS
Our Shipping Basics:
- We ship by the case only – 12 or 24 bottles
- Delivery usually within 5-9 business days
- We Ship via UPS Ground
- We Only ship to 48 contiguous United States
- UPS does not deliver to PO Boxes, APO's or FPO's
- Alaska and Hawaii are possibilites- contact us directly to arrange

Where Do We Ship?
SummitCitySoda.com currently only ships within the 48 contiguous United States. Sorry, but we do not ship to HI, AK, Puerto Rico, Canada or internationally at this time. At this time UPS Ground does not deliver to Post Office Boxes , APO's or FPO's since soda pop is considered a "perishable food item".
What about Alaska and Hawaii Shipping?
Please contact us at email@example.com if you are interested in having our sodas shipped to either Alaska or Hawaii. We can, but to do so through UPS requires second day air (which is extremely costly). If we us the U.S. Postal Service, these orders must be shipped Priority Mail in order for the package to be insured against damage and if the package is damaged you are responsible for filing a claim directly with the USPS.
How Do We Ship?
Currently all orders are shipped via UPS Ground. Due to significantly higher costs of the other methods, we only offer UPS Ground service. To keep cost low and provide for specail packaging, we only ship by the case of either 12 or 24 bottles.
How Do We Charge for Shipping?
We do our best to keep the shipping rates as inexpensive as possible, but glass bottles filled with liquid are heavy and weighs approximately 18-24 pounds per dozen. Shipping costs are calculated on weight, plus a small charge to cover packaging. We want your order to arrive to you safely, but will work to keep this charge as minimal as possible!
How Long are Delivery Times?
We strive to get your order to you as quickly as possible. Orders typically ship 3-5 business days after the order is placed. Please keep in mind the additional transit time for your product to arrive once we ship it when estimating your order's arrival date. To make sure we ship you the freshest sodas possible, we keep inventories low and often ship to you directly from the bottlers who are located all across the country. Our processing time is long because each product is made to order, meaning you get the freshest product possible.

Out of Stock Items
Many of the sodas we sell are handcrafted in small batches and not mass produced by the thousands of bottles per minute. To make sure your soda arrives fresh, inventories are kept. So our inventory can fluctuate throughout the day, so an item indicated as “in stock” when you place your order may, in fact, be out of stock. In this event, we make every effort to contact you by email immediately to notify you that your order will be placed on backorder. The email will also provide you with information on how to cancel the order if you would prefer not to wait for the item to be in stock again. Most out of stock items are in stock again within two (2) weeks. However, please remember that we are often dealing with mom-and-pop bottlers using vintage 1940’s era bottling equipment that can finicky to keep running and subject to downtime due to hard to find parts.
Tracking numbers will be emailed to you after your order has shipped so please remember to include your e-mail address when placing an order. It is especially helpful when there is an unexpected delay in processing your order or we have a question before shipping. Please note we will not use your e-mail address other than to contact you regarding your order.
Cold Weather Ordering
We do our best to promptly ship your orders, however the extremely cold or inclement weather can increase the time it takes for your order to ship. Due to cold weather, the shipping of our bottled sodas may get delayed. We do everything we can to make sure your craft sodas arrive to you in great condition. Unfortunately, we can’t do anything about cold winter weather except react to it. If there is any danger of freezing, we may temporarily hold shipments until weather conditions improve. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Thanks!
Health & Safety Rules
Due to the safety of food and beverage products, all sales on soda are considered final once they are shipped. This way you can be assured that the products you have been shipped have not been handled by another consumer. Should an order be refused at time of delivery you will be credited back for the order, less shipping, after we receive the package(s) back.
Every Good Rule Has Exceptions
Customer satisfaction is very important to us and we understand that sometimes things do go wrong. For this reason, if you are dissatisfied with your product for any of the reasons listed below, you may request an exchange or refund. We will either send you new product or issue a full refund to the original credit card or payment method used. We will do our best to ensure that you are satisfied.
Accepted Reasons for Returns / Exchanges
- Product damaged in transit by Carrier
- Defective product
- Received incorrect product
Return Policy Merchandise (non-food and beverage items).
We would like you to be satisfied with your purchase. All Returns or Exchanges on merchandise (non-food and beverage) items must be done within 30 days of the purchase date. Items purchased online can only be returned to our Headquarters, they can’t be returned to our manufacturers’, bottlers’ or distributors’ locations.
To request an exchange or refund, send an email with “REFUND REQUEST” in the subject line to firstname.lastname@example.org and provide a reason for the request. Just make sure that you contact us within 7 calendar days of receiving your order (determined by UPS tracking), as we cannot approve any requests for refunds/reships after such time.
Pre-approved is required for all returns so don’t send anything back without first contacting Summit City Soda. No refunds will be given for products returned without prior approval. Once approved, Summit City Soda will send you an RMA number and a UPS return label. All unopened sodas must be returned in the original packaging, unopened and with seals intact.
Note: Any return that is misrepresented as being for any of the above reasons will automatically have the return shipping costs and a possible 15% restocking fee charged to the purchaser's original form of payment.
Need to cancel your order? To cancel an order you have placed on SummitCitySoda.com, you must contact customer support by email email@example.com. Every effort will be made to accommodate the cancellation of your order as long as it has not yet shipped. Please provide your name, the order number, and your contact information. Please note that if the item has shipped, the order cannot be canceled.
