MacFUDDY is the pepper elixir with a fruity flavor that finishes with a slight hot pepper taste. This concoction blends multiple flavor ingredients into a unique sipping soda unlike anything on the market. MacFuddy has a taste similar to a cross between Dr Pepper and RC Cola. It is very good!!

MacFuddy Pepper Elixir History
MacFuddy was first introduced in 1941, the same year the US officially entered into WWII. It appears this soda brand was originally bottled in Detroit, MI in the 1940s and 1950s, but during the 1960s Buckler Bottling was bottling it in Flint, MI. The original ACL bottles featured a man from Scotland hence the name beginning with Mac. So it appears this brand was pretty much a regional drink at the time in Michigan area and surrounding states. For the first time since the 1960s MacFuddy Pepper Elixir has been brought back to life for a new generation of soda pop enthusiasts and is currently bottled by Orca Beverage Works at their "retro soda facility" in Mukilteo, Washington.

I had this once, and i've been craving it since. I've tried making it from home, but it's bot the same.

I tried it for the first time today. It tastes like a smooth Cherry Dr. Pepper with an actual pepper aftertaste. It leaves a slight burning in the back of the throat. Definitely a unique taste! It's a drink you have to try at least once. Drink when cold.

Amazing soda that tastes like gum drops, Dr Pepper, ginger, cherry, and cream soda mixed. The warmer it is the bolder the pepper taste is. The colder it is, the smoother the soda. It's good both ways, but each way tastes very different.

Classic flavor not to underestimated

MacFuddy is like what Dr. Pepper attempts to live up to, but fails. I used to love Dr. P, but over the years it has gotten too artificial tasting. For a real treat, make a MacFuddy float with a couple of scoops of vanilla ice cream!

This soda has an amazing flavor. I love how a sip starts sweet and fruity and ends peppery.

I love this soda! It is very different and very tasty! It tastes like Dr. Pepper and Cherry Coke had a baby :)
