Lost Trail Sodas from SummitCitySoda.comAbout Lost Trail Sodas
Lost Trail Sodas are from the Louisburg Cider Mill’s line of products with an Old West theme. Lost Trail Soda began with a smooth and creamy root beer, Lost Trail Root Beer. The recipe for their root beer was inspired by the original root beer formula encountered somewhere off the Santa Fe Trail by Joe Marshall, great-great grandfather of Shelly Schierman, owner of Lost Trail Soda. Lost Trail Root Beer was such a favorite that it wasn’t long before other Lost Trail soda flavors “hit the trail”. The secret to keeping the effervescent gusto of Lost Trail Soda is to use a “small batch” process. This microbrewed, draft style method ensures an old fashioned taste and the high quality found in Lost Trail Soda. You may have already tried our Lost Trail Soda and know what we’re talking about. But, if you’ve never enjoyed the old fashioned flavorful qualities of these beverages… A delicious experience awaits you!

“I been a lookin’ for the Santa Fe Trail three days now. Met up with some good folks. They give me some grub and something to wet my whistle. Say they call it “Root Beer” — been a makin’ this brew from roots and herbs. Think I’ll forget the trail and just settle here.”
From the journal of Joe Marshall, somewhere off the Santa Fe Trail, May 15, 1848

It actually TASTES like root beer!

it is pretty creamy, maybe that is covering the diet ickiness. it has a very large, long lasting foaming head which is more for show than anything i think. but that looks good. you could throw some Skinny Cow ice desert in here and have a good ole fashioned diet root beer float. or a brown cow if that is how you roll.

    Lost Trail Diet Root Beer

his has the typical weak flavor of a root beer. It's sort of right in the middle of the "smooth vs bite" scale, and I kind of wish it would pick one side or the other. It's relatively creamy, but just a bit weak because it's diet.
